The devil is trying hard to take away my joy, but I refuse to submit to negativity and sadness. Here is how I've been attacked so far:
1. One of my clients/friends decided to take her home off the market for rent (another agent convinced her that she could sell the home for her. That's great but the only problem is that she had only lived in the home for less than 3 months, it's in a brand spanking new neighborhood, and the homes are starting at $160k -- she paid $167k-ish so her home will be listed a lot higher than someone could build a home for)
2. My washing machine, that we bought October 2007, is smoking somewhere on the inside of the machine! It's a Maytag and I will NEVER EVER EVER buy another Maytag product again. In October 2007, about a week after we brought the machine home, it broke down needing a new timer. It took forever for us to get someone to service the machine, and now that it's been over a year we can forget about customer service. That pretty much went out the window along with the "Enjoy your product, Mrs. Smith" as we were walking out of Home Depot. We spent about $400 on this machine and it broke within a year. The last washer we had for almost 10 years, and only paid $175. Name is definitely not everything!!!! I am going to call around and see how much it is going to cost to fix the washer. This should be interesting.
On the bright side, I did get some of my "dream book" accomplished. I am visualizing myself having 2-3 Uppercase Living Open Houses per month. This product is so awesome, I can't see how anyone can pass up the opportunity. I have a great sponsor, Jannifer Stoddard, who is one of the most giving people I've come across in direct sales. She's in Boise and I'm in Atlanta, yet, she still gives me great support and communicates wonderfully. We're both internet savvy so I can't wait for her to share her knowledge with me.
One of my best friends, Meka Johnson, is part of a wonderful paraben-free skincare company called Beauty Society. Check out her site! Meka and I have known each other for just about 2 years, but we became really really close in 2008. She's my inspiration to be all that I can be. When I want to quit, she tells me to continue and at least make a real attempt at reaching my goals. She's located in Texas, but it feels like she's next door.
God has truly blessed me with some wonderful people in my life, and for that I am grateful!

Sholanda that is so sweet what you wrote girly. You know I am always here and I love the whole "musing" vibe going on here. You are inspirational yourself cause in the two years we have known each other we are still kicking it through this "work at home world" and doing very well for two people learning from their own mistakes!! Keep at it and Im always here for ya.
